According to Britney Spears, she became pregnant while dating Justin Timberlake and decided to terminate the baby because he thought they were “way too young.”
The shocking information, initially reported by People, is derived from Spears’ soon-to-be memoir, The Woman in Me. (The book releases on October 24.)
But Justin’s happiness about the pregnancy was undeniable. Spears describes the decision to end the pregnancy in the book, stating, “He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”
When Spears and Timberlake started dating in 1999, she was 17, and the former member of *NSYNC was 18. They dated up to 2002.
Following their breakup, Spears briefly wed her childhood buddy Jason Alexander in a surprise ceremony held in Las Vegas in 2004. However, the marriage was dissolved after just 55 hours.
She wed backup dancer Kevin Federline nine months later, and the two eventually had two children: Jayden James, now seventeen, and Sean Preston, now eighteen.
Timberlake has not yet made a public statement regarding Spears’ memoirs’ contents.
Next week, Spears’s The Woman In Me will be available in bookstores, and she has promised her readers an honest book.
She sent an email to People saying, “It’s finally time for me to speak up and stand up, and my fans deserve to hear it straight from me.” “Enough lies and conspiracy theories.
Two years have passed since Spears’ 13-year formal conservatorship, during which time her family exerted extensive financial, legal, and physical control over her.
According to an excerpt from the book published by Vanity Fair, Spears says, “I didn’t deserve what my family did to me.”
“My methods of pushing back were acting out and shaving my head. However, I was made to realize that those times were now behind me during the conservatorship. I had to reshape myself and grow out my hair. I was required to take the prescribed medication and have a good night’s sleep.
