According to the balance sheet, Brasileirão 2023 has the largest average audience in the competition’s history.

With 26,524 paying players on average every game at the end of this tournament, it surpasses the record of 22,953 set in 1983. Flamengo had the greatest gross revenue and is the team that brought in the most fans to the stadiums.

From the stands, the 2023 Brazilian Championship was a huge success. The current episode had the most average audience ever.

9.7 million spectators filled the stadiums for the 368 games that were open to the public (12 of which were played behind closed doors). The average number of paying supporters per game was 26,524. According to the CBF, the record was set in 1983, when there were 22,953 payers per game.

 

Flamengo’s average is the highest.

Flamengo was the team that attracted the largest crowds to the stadiums for the second year in a row (Atlético-MG had the highest average in 2021). 1.03 million spectators attended Rubro-Negro’s matches at Maracanã, Kleber Andrade, and Mané Garrincha, with 54.4 thousand paying each time.

With 33,167 paying fans per game, Palmeiras, the 2023 grand champions, had the fifth-highest average attendance. Verdão also participated in three games in the much smaller Arena Barueri in addition to Allianz Parque. The top 5 are completed by São Paulo (43,780), Corinthians (38,433), and Bahia (36,489).

 

The biggest audiences

Flamengo dominates the ranking of games with the most attendance, owning the first 12 places. The most attended match in 2023 was at Mané Garrincha, in Santos’ 2-1 comeback victory over Rubro-Negro.

Also appearing well on the list is São Paulo. Tricolor owns five of the 20 biggest audiences in the championship, while Fluminense and Vasco have one game each. See below:

The highest incomes

The game that attracted the most fans in the Brasileirão was also the one with the highest gross revenue in the competition. The match between Flamengo and Santos raised R$7.1 million. Rubro-Negro is involved in the four games that appear next, three as home team and one as a visitor against América-MG, played at Parque do Sabiá, in Uberlândia.

After the Rio team, São Paulo and Palmeiras, with two games each, are the teams with the most appearances in the top 20 best box office revenues in Series A.

 

Greater average incomes

Flamengo is also the leader in Brasileirão in terms of average and total income collection. Rubro-Negro made an average of R$3.6 million from box office earnings across 19 home games, totaling R$69.5 million. After that comes São Paulo, who have averaged R$2.5 million from 19 games at Morumbi. Completing the top 3, Palmeiras makes an average of R$2.4 million from home games.
