Set 285 to win after deciding to the field, the underdogs won a World Cup game for just the second time by skittling out England for just 215.
After winning the toss and choosing to field, Buttler expressed disappointment at the post-game presentation. Congratulations to Afghanistan; they outperformed us today. It’s a tough loss to accept. The World Cup champions of England, who have already dropped two of their first three games, are now in danger of missing out on a spot in the semifinals.
