Most recent footage of Rishabh Pant preparing for the IPL 2024 at the NCA

Rishabh Pant will participate in the 2024 Indian Premier League, according to DC Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly.

On Tuesday, Rishabh Pant, who sustained injuries in a car accident in December 2022, shared a few images of his recovery process on social media. Rishabh Pant has returned to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru to begin his rehabilitation following a brief absence.

The wicketkeeper-batter is currently recuperating from a near-fatal car accident that occurred a year ago, and his return date is yet undetermined.

Although there were rumors that he would make a comeback as soon as the IND vs. AFG T20 series in January, it doesn’t seem likely at this point. Even a return to the Ranji Trophy is unlikely right now. Alternatively, IPL 2024 is still a possibility for his comeback. But that’s still just conjecture.

Observations regarding Rishabh Pant’s recuperation process

A video of the wicketkeeper-batter visiting the NCA gym was posted on his social media accounts. Since undergoing a major knee ligament restoration surgery in February of this year, he has been concentrating on working out a lot at the gym to strengthen his legs.

Pant is presently focusing on lifting and weight training. The explanation is obvious. As a wicketkeeper batter, Rishabh Pant will be required to squat during the entire game. Furthermore, he will strengthen those ligaments and regain muscular strength from the weight training he does in the gym.

After Delhi Capitals Director of Cricket, Sourav Ganguly confirmed Pant’s involvement in the competition in early November, DC announced a week earlier that Pant would captain the team for the 2024 Indian Premier League.

In August, Pant was observed batting at a club match in Bengaluru. Pant had traveled to a sports complex outside of Bengaluru to take part in JSW Foundation—the organization that also owns the Delhi Capitals—sponsored Independence Day festivities. In addition, he visited India’s training camp in advance of the Asia Cup.
