When is the draw for Euro 2024? Date, time, bracket, and teams once Scotland and England have qualified

As more countries confirm their participation in Euro 2024, attention is rapidly turning to the draw for the competition in Germany next summer.

The optimism that Gareth Southgate’s squad can surpass their performance at Euro 2020 when they lost on penalties in the final at Wembley, is growing after they became the ninth team to secure qualifying after picking up an emphatic win against Italy.

Scotland, who won their first five qualifying games to essentially finish the job in September, will join them in Germany. This was made official when Spain defeated Norway to clinch their qualification.

While teams like Italy and Croatia still have a lot of work to do if they want to place in the top two of their qualifying groups, Wales has not given up hope of competing next year.

After the qualifying season, the pots for the draw will be confirmed. The top six qualifying teams will be placed in Pot 1, followed by the next six in Pot 2, and so on, until all 24 countries have been divided into four pots.

The champions and runners-up from each of the 10 groups receive one of the 20 spots available for the tournament through qualifying. Germany, the hosts, will be seeded first and automatically assigned to Group A.

The playoffs, which take place in March of the following year, will determine the final three berths. The play-offs will include 12 teams, chosen based on their results in the Nations League. They will be divided into three groups of four teams, and the country that wins each of those pathways will receive a spot at Euro 2024.
